Harris Bay planning 1,000-unit, mixed-use development in rapidly-growing Tobin Hill

A 1,000-unit apartment development, spread across four parcels, is being proposed for West Josephine Street near North St. Mary's Street by developer Jake Harris in San Antonio, Texas. This is Polk Street, between West Josephine and West Grayson.

Developer Jake Harris is planning to build a 1,000-apartment project West Josephine that would also touch the St. Mary’s Strip. If built, it would add the flurry of new housing developments either under construction or in the planning stage for Tobin Hill.

Circa-1920s Exchange Building up for sale

The circa-1920s Exchange Building, 152 E. Pecan St., currently a 10-story apartment building, is up for sale. April 25, 2022.

The owners of the Exchange Building, which includes the San Antonio Housing Trust Foundation, are preparing to sell the Prohibition-era building to a local buyer.

Houston developer Urban Genesis has purchased this property on the northeast corner of North St. Mary's and Camden streets with plans to build apartments. March 25, 2022.

Houston multifamily developer Urban Genesis is tightening its hold on North St. Mary’s Street with the purchase of a 0.6-acre vacant lot, down the street from the San Antonio Museum of Art, where it plans to build apartments.

This property on the 300 block of West Grayson Street was recently purchased by Houston developer Urban Genesis.

Urban Genesis plans to begin construction in mid-2022 on the apartments, which will be three to four stories tall.

Canopy by Hilton, Witte building to bring four restaurants and bars to East Commerce

The Canopy by Hilton and the Witte building, on the 100 block of East Commerce Street, are due to open next month.

A stretch of East Commerce Street is set to come back to life next month with the opening of a 22-story hotel and four restaurants and bars overlooking the River Walk.
