Is San Antonio rushing its $150 million housing bond?

Today, the City of San Antonio is due to formally begin the process of finding developers to build and preserve apartments, and build houses, as part of the $150 million housing bond.

Granada Homes’ $63M renovation set to begin this month under new partnership

A $63 million project to rehabilitate the historic Granada Homes senior apartment tower is set to begin this month under a new partnership that no longer includes the San Antonio Housing Authority.

Granada Homes restoration takes building back to original 1928 days

The $51 million renovation of the Granada Homes building on South St. Mary’s and Villita streets includes restoring the common areas to look almost exactly as they did when the building opened in 1928 as the Plaza Hotel.

The 249 units at the Granada Homes will be renovated, and will continue to serve low-income seniors after completion, officials said.
