If you want to see “Hamilton,” whose three-week run at the Majestic Theatre begins Tuesday night, but can’t afford the $100-plus ticket, you may be lucky enough to score one for $10.
Two days before each performance at 11 a.m., a digital lottery, which will disburse 40 tickets for $10, will begin. Download the “Hamilton” app or visit hamiltonmusical.com to enter the lottery. The lottery will close 9 a.m. the day before the performance, and winners and non-winners will be notified at 11 a.m.
You’ll have until 4 p.m. to purchase one or two tickets with a credit card and can pick them up two hours before showtime at the Majestic box office, 224 E. Houston St.
“Hamilton” runs Tuesday through May 26 at the Majestic.
Based on the biography by Ron Chernow, “Hamilton,” written by Lin-Manuel Miranda, chronicles the life of Founding Father Alexander Hamilton. The play won a Pulitzer Prize for drama in 2016.
