Pearl developer Oxbow planning 9-story mixed-use building on East Josephine

Pearl developer Oxbow Development Group, formerly known as Silver Ventures, is planning to build a 9-story apartment tower at 102 E. Josephine St., San Antonio, Texas.

The Pearl’s development company is moving forward with plans to build a 9-story mixed-use structure, which would include 250-275 market-rate apartments, on a full city block bound by East Josephine, Isleta, East Grayson and the river.

Partial demo of Whitt Printing building considered after city deems it unstable

A historic Whitt Printing building in west downtown could soon be cleared for partial demolition, even after the city’s historical commission voted last month not to let that happen.

The family that owns the Golden Star Café in west downtown is taking the unusual step of asking the city to strip a building of its historic designation after the Historic and Design Review Commission denied a bid to demolish it earlier this month.

In an effort to allay concerns of Lavaca residents, the San Antonio Housing Authority has greatly reduced the density of housing at its Victoria Commons master community from a plan it proposed last year.
