December 19, 2021 By Rocky Garza Jr. 45 Comments

This past May, the Travis Park Church, launched a 3,500 square foot mural project called “All are Welcome, Love Conquers Hate”, to help promote the message of love and acceptance. To help illustrate their message the church had a city-wide process and wound up selecting six artists. Those artists include Hailey Marmolejo, Rhys Munroyo, Albert Gonzalez, Raisa Melendez, Scotch Willington, and Victor Zarazua. It wasn’t until September when the church was given the approval from the Office of Conservation to proceed with the project, and it expected to be completed by the end of this month. Regarding the longevity of the six murals, Munroyo said the church didn’t inform them they were going to be replaced by a certain amount of years, and she hopes they can inspire people with their artwork.
