UTSA receives funding for next Dolorosa building in downtown San Antonio

UTSA is preparing to design its new Innovation, Entrepreneurship and Careers (IEC) building at Dolorosa and South Laredo streets. This renderings is for illustration purposes and does not represent the final design.

UTSA’s $124 million Innovation, Entrepreneurship and Careers (IEC) building, the university’s next phase on Dolorosa, received full funding.

San Antonio Missions investor purchased land in May near potential baseball stadium site

In May 2022, the property at 803 S. Medina St., north of the Guadalupe Street bridge, was purchased by a partnership managed by Bruce Hill, one of the investors buying the San Antonio Missions baseball team.

A partnership managed by Bruce Hill, one of the investors buying the San Antonio Missions double-A baseball team, purchased property on the near West Side in May, nearly adjacent to a site highlighted in a 2016 report as a suitable spot for a downtown baseball stadium.

Nirenberg, Wolff: San Antonio business leaders interested in buying Missions

Several local business leaders are interested in buying stakes in the San Antonio Missions baseball team, Mayor Ron Nirenberg and County Judge Nelson Wolff said in separate interviews, while declining to say who the leaders were.

Weston Urban has lately approached at least two entities that own property near San Pedro Creek seeking to buy their land while mentioning plans to build a sports stadium.
