Aztec Theater owners adding rooftop restaurant, boutique hotel to historic building

Renderings show the addition of a boutique hotel inside the Aztec Theater building, 104 N. St. Mary’s St. A rooftop restaurant and bar are included.

The Aztec Theater’s owners are seeking approval to add a rooftop restaurant and bar, part of a plan to convert unused office space into an upscale 77-room boutique hotel.

Sam Panchevre, owner of Sam’s Burger Joint and the Aztec Theatre, is now leasing the buildings that once housed the Little Rhein Steak House and the Fig Tree.
