Weston Urban’s 15-story apartment mid-rise behind Continental Hotel in downtown San Antonio gets initial approval

The de la Garza House would be incorporated into the new development planned by Weston Urban for the area bound by the former Continental Hotel and Arana buildings.

Weston Urban’s plan to restore the former Continental Hotel and build a 15-story apartment tower along San Pedro Creek in west downtown won conceptual approval Wednesday from the city’s historic review board.

Terry Black’s BBQ owners buy land on Broadway for mixed-use development

This property at 2110 Broadway was recently purchased by the owners of Terry Black's BBQ.

Members of the Black family, which operate Terry Black’s BBQ in Austin and Dallas, have purchased nearly a full city block on Broadway two blocks north of the Pearl.

‘It was important for us to open the park to people right now’

The gates finally came down around the Weston Urban park on West Houston Street across from the Frost Tower.

“We would love to host events here at the park in the future, during Fiesta or Oktoberfest, and see possible wedding receptions being held here,” the new park’s director, David Robinson Jr. said looking forward to when the pandemic is over.
