Pearl developer Oxbow planning 9-story mixed-use building on East Josephine

Pearl developer Oxbow Development Group, formerly known as Silver Ventures, is planning to build a 9-story apartment tower at 102 E. Josephine St., San Antonio, Texas.

The Pearl’s development company is moving forward with plans to build a 9-story mixed-use structure, which would include 250-275 market-rate apartments, on a full city block bound by East Josephine, Isleta, East Grayson and the river.

The site of the Pearl's next apartment project, 1126 E. Elmira St., appears to be under construction on Aug. 23, 2022.

Earlier this month, the Bexar County Commissioners Court agreed to begin negotiations with Broadway SA Investors GP, LLC, a company affiliated with Pearl Build, on a 10-year tax abatement for a 263-unit apartment project.

Years behind schedule, the construction of Hemisfair’s Civic Park has been delayed in part by Zachry Hospitality’s inability to start construction of its multi-use development.

Hemisfair’s Civic Park construction imminent as planners race to meet 2025 Final Four deadline

After a delay of more than two years, the construction of Hemisfair’s Civic Park is finally imminent, it appears. A groundbreaking ceremony is scheduled for sometime in January after the City Council approved last week a $27.9 million construction contract for Skanska USA Building.

In an effort to allay concerns of Lavaca residents, the San Antonio Housing Authority has greatly reduced the density of housing at its Victoria Commons master community from a plan it proposed last year.
