Encore development gets tax incentive after gaining McKee-Rodriguez’s reluctant support

Construction work continues on Oct. 6 on Encore Multifamily's 386-unit apartment building that consumes most of the land bound by North Alamo, East Grayson, Austin, and West Carson streets.

An up-to-$7 million incentive package for a high-end apartment complex in Government Hill won unanimous approval from City Council on Thursday after a change of heart from District 2 Councilman Jalen McKee-Rodriguez.

Olivo: Lone Star Brewery’s $24M incentive deal needed more critical analysis

The former Lone Star Brewery is eyed for redevelopment by Midway and GrayStreet Partners.

Any concerns about the sheer size of the Lone Star’s $24 million incentive deal, or over the potential displacement of nearby residents, were outweighed by the fact that someone is finally breathing new life into these ghostly industrial shells after 25 years.

Council delays ordinance requiring future housing developments to consider voucher holders

The approval of an ordinance that would require future housing developments that receive city incentives to consider tenants with housing vouchers has been delayed by the City Council.
