Developer’s plan to build 8 homes in Dignowity Hill sent back to drawing board

A single-family home development called CherryCourt. is being planned by Mint Development of San Antonio for two vacant lots on the 1000 block of North Cherry Street in Dignowity Hill Historic District on the near East Side. This rendering shows the view from Cherry Street.

A new project called CherryCourt, eight 2-story homes in Dignowity Hill, was recently rejected by the Historic and Design Review Commission.

Request to demolish historic building next to Golden Star Café denied

The city’s Historic and Design Review Commission on Wednesday voted down a request to demolish a historic building next to the Golden Star Café in west downtown to clear the way for potential development.

City commission approves Rosario’s new restaurant despite campaign led by Maverick owner

A mobilization on social media failed to keep the city’s Historic and Design Review Commission (HRDC) from approving a plan to build a new Rosario’s restaurant, which would all but enclose the patio of neighboring Maverick Texas Brasserie.
