Dallas firm buys Encore SoFlo apartments in south downtown San Antonio

Encore SoFlo, 326 S. Flores St., has been sold to Strategic Property Investment, a firm with offices in Dallas and Austin.

The 338-unit Encore SoFlo, one of the recent apartment buildings to breathe life into the area north of the H-E-B SoFlo Market, has been purchased by Texas firm Strategic Property Investment.

Retail hub anchored by ice house planned for land near former Lone Star Brewery

This patch of land on the corner of South St. Mary's Street and Mission Road may soon be part of a mixed-use development by Bakke Development Corp.

Bakke Development Corp. is looking to redevelop the site of former headstone maker Meier Bros. Monuments on South St. Mary’s.

Echo Bridge concerts under Roosevelt Avenue are now legal; and that’s just fine with its organizers

“They made a (concert) permit for us where there was none,” Jeff Wheeler, one of the Echo Bridge Music Society’s co-organizers, said of the San Antonio River Authority. “They understood that it was community-driven and that people love it already.”

Slab Cinema opens Arthouse concept at Blue Star Arts Complex

The Slab Cinema Arthouse officially opens at 8 tonight at the Blue Star Arts Complex with a screening of “Sunset Boulevard,” the 1950 classic Billy Wilder film starring Gloria Swanson as an aging silent film star.

Developer Adelman buys industrial site north of Lone Star Brewery

This property at 410 Probandt St., across from the former Lone Star Brewery, was recently purchased by developer David Adelman and a partner.

Local developer David Adelman and a partner have purchased a four-acre warehouse property directly north of the Lone Star Brewery with plans to build on the momentum of the area’s growth by developing it with a residential use.
