Beer lovers will have another brewery to check out starting at noon Saturday.
Roadmap Brewing Co., 723 N. Alamo St., officially opens its doors this weekend. The microbrewery is the creation of Dustin and Hannah Baker, who moved to San Antonio two years ago for Dustin’s job as a math teacher in the Edgewood Independent School District.
Now, he’s brewing beer.
They’re starting off with some core offerings, including an American IPA called Mama Dukes, named after Dustin’s mom, Joan Baker. They’ll also have a German Kölsch called Obligatory, a saison called Say What?!, and a coffee milk stout called Wake Up Call. Dustin’s also going crazy with specialty beers for the opening, including a jalapeño stout called Ja-Lop-Ah-No.
Roadmap joins the downtown’s growing list of breweries, including Künstler Brewing, Dorćol Distilling + Brewing Co., Southerleigh Fine Food & Brewery, Alamo Beer Company, Freetail Brewing Co., and Blue Star Brewing Company.
Roadmap’s hours will be 4-10 p.m. Wednesday-Thursday, 4 p.m.-midnight Friday, noon-midnight Saturday, and noon-8 p.m. Sunday.
For Saturday’s grand opening, food truck The Box Street Social will set up during the day, and KR’s Geaux-2 Catering, Southern Gourmet On Da Geaux, which will serve later. Check the Facebook event page for details.
