Thousands of people gathered for Fiesta Fiesta, the official start of San Antonio’s 11-day “party with a purpose,” at Hemisfair on Thursday night. And they stayed from beginning to the very end. The crowd may have even been its largest by the time a fireworks display capped off the night at 10 p.m. Fiesta Fiesta may have kicked off a truncated version last year due to the pandemic. But this one signified that Fiesta is back in full form as people danced, drank, and let out two years of pent-up party energy. — Heron staff
