GrayStreet Partners’ big dream for Houston Street that never materialized

The 300 block of East Houston Street includes the Vogue, Grant and Kress buildings.

In 2015, GrayStreet Partners announced it had purchased several iconic buildings on East Houston Street, and spoke of the corridor’s rebirth. Nearly seven years later, the local developer has been selling off its assets as it shifts focus, and capital, to other projects.

Tech Bloc launches county-funded website mapping San Antonio’s Tech District

San Antonio’s emerging tech community now has a website, sanantoniotechdistrict.com, built by nonprofit tech advocacy group Tech Bloc, which maps out the places and businesses making up downtown’s Tech District.

UTSA has started building its data science school, national security center on Dolorosa

The gates finally came down around the Weston Urban park on West Houston Street across from the Frost Tower.

“We would love to host events here at the park in the future, during Fiesta or Oktoberfest, and see possible wedding receptions being held here,” the new park’s director, David Robinson Jr. said looking forward to when the pandemic is over.
