Pearl developer Oxbow planning 9-story mixed-use building on East Josephine

Pearl developer Oxbow Development Group, formerly known as Silver Ventures, is planning to build a 9-story apartment tower at 102 E. Josephine St., San Antonio, Texas.

The Pearl’s development company is moving forward with plans to build a 9-story mixed-use structure, which would include 250-275 market-rate apartments, on a full city block bound by East Josephine, Isleta, East Grayson and the river.

Bexar County commissioners advance The Link project despite concerns about no city support

On Tuesday morning, concerns over whether the city of San Antonio would support The Link project led to sparring between Bexar County commissioners, who voted 3-2 to approve a $2 million feasibility study.

The Convent Park River Walk entrance at Convent and Augusta streets is where The Link could begin and head west, connecting to the San Pedro Creek Culture Park.

Two envisioned projects for west downtown—The Link from County Commissioner Tommy Calvert and a sports stadium by Weston Urban —could be competing head-to-head.

"Stargazer (Citlali)," a large-scale sculpture by Mexican artist Pedro Reyes, was officially unveiled earlier this week on the River Walk.

About a week ago, the wrappings that had covered “Stargazer (Citlali)” were finally removed revealing the large-scale sculpture by Mexican artist Pedro Reyes.

Bakke Development granted approval for Southtown ice house concept

Bakke Development is planning a mixed-use retail project at 207 Roosevelt Ave., that includes an ice house, office space, and potentially a restaurant. Renderings go before the Historic and Design Review Commission on Jan. 19, 2022.

Local developer Bakke Development Corp.’s plan for an ice house and retail complex on a prominent intersection in Southtown goes before the Historic and Design Review Commission this week.

A 10-story mixed-use project by Sabot Development of Austin is planned for 322 E. Euclid Ave. near the Pearl.

The project by Sabot Development will consist of 299 market-rate units, 12,000 square feet of retail and 429 parking spaces.

Olivo: Lone Star Brewery’s $24M incentive deal needed more critical analysis

The former Lone Star Brewery is eyed for redevelopment by Midway and GrayStreet Partners.

Any concerns about the sheer size of the Lone Star’s $24 million incentive deal, or over the potential displacement of nearby residents, were outweighed by the fact that someone is finally breathing new life into these ghostly industrial shells after 25 years.
