Today is the first day to vote in the June 8 runoff election involving the mayoral and three City Council seats. Early voting runs 8 a.m.-6 p.m. today through Saturday, and continues 8 a.m.-8 p.m. Monday, June 3 and, Tuesday, June 4. There is no early voting Sunday, June 2.

Mayor Nirenberg, Councilman Brockhouse headed toward June 8 runoff
For the entire night on Saturday night, Mayor Ron Nirenberg held a slim lead over District 6 Councilman Greg Brockhouse, but never reached the 50 percent vote total threshold that would have given him an outright victory. As a result, the contentious race for mayor will continue toward a June 8 runoff.
