Houston developer Urban Genesis prepares to start 3 apartment projects in Tobin Hill

Houston developer Urban Genesis is planning to build 61 market-rate apartments here on the corner of East Elmira and North St. Mary’s streets in San Antonio, Texas. Construction is expected to begin first quarter 2023.

Houston developer Urban Genesis says it’s on schedule to start construction on its holdings on and off North St. Mary’s Street—overall, a $45 million series of developments for a total of 178 market-rate apartments—by first quarter 2023.

The 121-room Artista Hotel is being planned for 151 E. Travis St., San Antonio, Texas, along the River Walk, by California developer Jake Harris.

The 121-room Artista Hotel planned for a compact property on East Travis Street and the river received final approval from the Historic and Design Review Commission on Wednesday.

Pearl developer Oxbow planning 9-story mixed-use building on East Josephine

Pearl developer Oxbow Development Group, formerly known as Silver Ventures, is planning to build a 9-story apartment tower at 102 E. Josephine St., San Antonio, Texas.

The Pearl’s development company is moving forward with plans to build a 9-story mixed-use structure, which would include 250-275 market-rate apartments, on a full city block bound by East Josephine, Isleta, East Grayson and the river.

Development Explorer: 29-story residential tower, retail center at Hemisfair

A 29-story residential tower and a three-level retail building are planned for East Market Street at Hemisfair in San Antonio, Texas, as shown in these renderings submitted for the Oct. 19, 2022, Historic and Design Review Commission meeting. Developer Post Lake Capital Partners of Austin is building the market-rate apartments and retail space.

New Hemisfair renderings show a 29-story, 360-unit apartment tower with a 7-level parking garage and 25,000 square feet of retail space on East Market Street. The plans are up for review this week.
